Delhi government sanctions for developing Ghazipur mandi

The Delhi government has sanctioned a sum of 236 million rupees for the development of the Ghazipur wholesale market, Development Minister Gopal Rai said on Friday.

According to the minister, of this, 4 million rupees will be for the development of the fruit and vegetable market, 132.12 million rupees for the poultry market and 100 million rupees for the flower market.

Rai said the AAP government has been paying special attention to the development and expansion of the Delhi mandi and creating better infrastructure in them.

“In an attempt to expand the Delhi mandis, the budget of all APMC (Agricultural Products Market Committees) and DAMB (Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board) was approved,” Rai said after chairing a meeting of the councils of all mandis.

He said the meeting also discussed last year’s budget results, as well as plans for the development, expansion and infrastructure of Delhi’s wholesale markets.

The government also sanctioned Rs 70 crore for expanding the Tikri Khampur wholesale market.
