Delhi High Court Slams Center over the supply of oxygen.

The Arvind Kejriwal government had alleged that oxygen was needed in Delhi but was not being supplied there. But it is being supplied to another state. Although not named, it is meant to indicate Uttar Pradesh here. In that context, the central government came under criticism from the Delhi High Court.

During a hearing on Tuesday, the Delhi High Court raised the question, “Can’t oxygen be supplied to hospitals instead of the industrial sector?” In reply, the Center said that the supply of oxygen to the industrial sector will be stopped from Thursday 22 April and it will be given to the hospital. The Delhi High Court then asked, “Why not from today? Would you tell patients to wait until April 22 for oxygen? The industry can wait, not the patients.”

The hearing was held in the division bench of Justice Bipin Sanghi and Rekha Palli. Judges said it was heard that doctors at Delhi’s Ganga Ram Hospital were being pressured to give patients less oxygen. Because the supply of oxygen is low.

Although the central government claims that oxygen has been provided as required in judging the number of patients. However, this evening, Delhi Health Minister Manish Sisodia claimed that Delhi’s hospitals have only 8 to 10 hours of oxygen. If not enough oxygen arrives before then, more deaths will increase.
