Delhi police did raids the two-time Olympic medalist Sushil Kumar yesterday. He accused the murder of a 23-year-old former youth national champion. He beat to death in a fight that involved two groups at the Chhatrasal stadium premises in northwest Delhi.
“We are investigating the role of Sushil Kumar as we got complaints against him. We sent polices to his house, but he was missing. We are looking for it. We got several clues that indicate his involvement in the incident,” said Dr. Guriqbal Singh Sidhu.
“In the initial investigation, we found that Sushil Kumar and his assistants committed this crime,” says the FIR in the case registered from a call from PCR and presented by Deputy Inspector Jitendra. Singh.
The FIR claims that two other people were injured in the four-hour incident. They told police they were “physically assaulted,” he claims.
“The dead body was identified as Sagar Kumar, and he was the son of a Delhi police chief, and the injured were identified as Sonu Mahal (35) and Amit Kumar (27). We registered an FIR and arrested a prince from Dalal (24) and took a double-barreled weapon on the spot,” Sidhu said.
According to Sidhu, the police discovered that a fight had occurred between Sushil Kumar, Prince, Ajay, Sagar, Sonu, and few others in the parking area of the stadium.
Sushil Kumar is one of the best athletes in India who win medals in the following Olympics in an individual event. He also has a world championship medal.
Meanwhile, he was disappointed when he could not participate in the Rio Olympics because he has a selection issue with the federation. After that, he did not engage in any tournaments.
Also, he’s was not participating in the Tokyo Olympic 2021.
