New Delhi: Delhi recorded four more COVID-19-related deaths and 91 new cases today with a positivity rate of 0.12 percent, according to a health department bulletin.

The national capital had registered 94 cases of Covid with a positivity rate of 0.12 percent and six deaths on Wednesday.

Up to 111 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, as recoveries again outnumbered new cases.

Delhi had registered 101 new COVID-19 cases with a positivity rate of 0.15 percent and four deaths on Tuesday, according to a health department bulletin.

With today’s new cases, Delhi’s number of COVID-19 cases has risen to 14,34,281. The death count increased to 24,981, while the fatality rate is 1.74 percent.

The number of active cases decreased to 1,357 today from 1,379 on Wednesday.

A total of 76,468 tests were performed in the last 24 hours.

On Monday, the city recorded 59 cases, the lowest single-day increase this year, and two deaths. By Sunday, Delhi had reported 89 cases and four deaths, while the positivity rate was 0.12 percent.

The infection rate, which had risen to 36 percent in the last week of April, has now fallen below 0.20 percent.

Delhi was recovering from a brutal second wave of the pandemic that hit the country and claimed large numbers of lives.

Daily cases and deaths in the city began to increase as of April 19. According to official data, more than 28,000 cases and 277 deaths were registered on April 20 and 448 deaths on May 3.

Up to 14,07,943 patients have recovered from COVID-19 so far, according to the bulletin.

The number of patients in home isolation dropped to 314 from 329 a day ago, while the number of containment zones fell to 1,349 from 1,599 the day before, according to the bulletin.
