A thick layer of fog covered Delhi and the surrounding areas, causing poor visibility in the national capital on Saturday.
Air quality in the national capital continued in the ‘very poor’ category with the general air quality index (AQI) at 307, according to the Weather and Air Quality Research and Forecasting System (SAFAR).
A dense fog layer was observed over DND (Delhi Noida Direct) Flyway and other parts of the Delhi-NCR region earlier this morning.

Delhi Airport in a statement said that due to fog, low visibility procedures are in progress at Delhi Airport. However, all flight operations are normal.

Previously, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted dense to very dense fog in isolated foci most likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and northwestern Rajasthan in the morning hours of February 13 and Dense fog in isolated foci over the same area in the morning of February 14.
