“At least four people have been killed and 12 injured,” said Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Pakistan’s interior minister. However, the Chinese ambassador was outside the hotel at the time of the blast. Initial investigations revealed that an IED had been planted in a vehicle, police said.
According to an ANI report, two people were seriously injured and were being treated at a hospital. The bomber struck shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The hotel premises have been closed for investigation into the incident and jawans of the militant suppression branch have been deployed there.
