Elden Ring Created to Reduce 'Unnecessary Stress'

Elden Ring Created to Reduce ‘Unnecessary Stress’: The Japanese video game developer FromSoftware is well-known for its iconic games, including Dark SoulsBloodborneDemon Souls, and other titles.

The most recent update to the roster of developers, Elden Ring, has been keeping fans of the series eagerly anticipating the release since its announcement in 2019.

The release initially scheduled for 2021 but later moved to February 25 this year following an extended delay.

While FromSoftware fans enjoy difficult opponents, some find they are too stress-inducing. Souls ‘ difficulties may hinder many from taking in their story and beauty.

But, Dark Souls, along with Bloodborne and the Bloodborne games like them, have changed the game industry thanks to their unique gameplay.

In the latest overview of Elden Ring at the Taipei Game Show, Yasuhiro Kitao, a producer at FromSoftware, explained to the crowd that the team behind the development concentrate on making the opponents in Elden Ring less challenging.

Elden Ring is easier to play and less demanding, making them less stressful, but without eliminating the challenges, FromSoftware games are famous for.

“With the game’s world being so large, that can produce real depth and breadth of enjoyment. But it can also lead to unnecessary stress for some players,” Kitao states. The development team has been cautious to avoid that where possible.”

This, along with a further explanation, made it clear to the community that the game’s focus is on high-quality immersion. That the limited availability of complex tasks can achieve.

The elimination and modification of specific characteristics of different bosses make them the most terrifying. As one would hope from the makers of Dark Souls or Bloodborne. But with the ability to find other ways to defeat them.

One of the most innovative capabilities in the franchise is summoning and riding a horse. That offers a relaxing way to travel over large distances. That players will require to travel during their game.

This will allow gamers to travel The Lands Between in the Elden Ring with greater accessibility and comfort.

This consideration of convenience also considered when the game design to allow faster travel to previously located locations.

This proved to be an interesting problem when playing Dark Souls or Bloodborne in which the point of travel that is fast was to be located first. Which left some players in no position to find their locations in specific areas.

In light of that, some problematic bosses within Elden Ring can be avoided entirely and are like (yet more accessible) in nature to Darkeater Midir of Ringed City in Dark Souls 3.

Kitao has also mentioned that because of the vast area of Elden Ring. Enemies were positioned accordingly to keep the players entertained in the game – not too overrun with enemies, but not too many of their plights.

The game’s time may also influence the position of specific enemies. But to a lesser extent. It still creates an exciting feeling in some areas when night becomes day and so on.

Although Elden Ring will take a considerable amount of time to complete. Its main goal for the creators was to offer an unforgettable experience for players.

The players will be able to enjoy the realm of Elden Ring with relatively less anxiety. Which certain players were able to adapt to Dark Souls and Bloodborne but with the expected quantity of problems.

Being aware FromSoftware, Elden Ring holds all the promises to fulfil all expectations. And offer an unforgettable gaming experience for both veteran players of the series and newcomers.

Elden Ring is scheduled to launch on February 25 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
