Enemies 'High-Five' After Killing Player

Enemies ‘High-Five’ After Killing Player:  From Software and Bandai Namco had a hit with Elden Ring. It outsold Horizon Forbidden West and Pokemon Legends: Arceus in the US, and it had relative success in the UK. Elden Ring will sell well for the rest of the year since more people than usual are willing to try it.

While less intimidating than other FromSoftware titles, Elden Ring is still a challenging game. Endgame bosses are exceptionally dangerous, and users can still die to regular opponents with a few hits. However, there is a little time between dying and the screen going black on current-gen devices.

A new video shows opponents presumably high-fiving after killing a player.
In Elden Ring, TSgt-Duck fights three adversaries with a scythe. After a few hits, TSgt-Duck walks into a thrust attack from all three and dies.

After that, two adversaries go for a grab, but because TSgt-Duck is dead, it appears they’re going to high-five and celebrate their triumph. The enemy missing the apparent high-five is quite amusing.
They say the enemies cooperated brilliantly to murder TSgt-Duck but missed a simple high-five.

According to Luxury, they are the slowest yet most vexing monsters in any Souls game. One commenter speculates that thrust and lunge attacks get increased range when players perceive safe distance. A good example is the Crucible Knight in Elden Ring.

According to user Kraile, killing these foes only yields a few runes, so it’s best to sprint by them. Other gamers agree that foes don’t return enough runes for the effort expended to defeat them. Runes in Elden Ring are like souls in Dark Souls and can be spent to level up or buy goods.

Elden Ring is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One.
