Speaking about the current Hijab issue, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said on Monday that everyone has the right to dress in a fashion that they like.
“If you wear hair scarfs or have a sandalwood mark placed on the forehead, I think that it is not a matter of controversy. Everyone has the right to wear what they wish. There is no interference from us. You have never witnessed a single incident of this kind in Bihar. This is not a matter of debate,” he said.

Following the rise of the hijab dispute in Karnataka and brought tension and controversial statements, Janata Dal-United’s Parliamentary Board President Upendra Kushwaha called a “traitor,” Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa.
He had also said that the saffron flag might be the national flag in the next 100, 200, or 500 years in the nation.
“The people who run the BJP are slandering. Samrat Ashoka is calling for the removal of the flag of our nation. What can our nation do to stop this?”
“I am insisting on the Prime Secretary Narendra Modi and Chief Minister BS Bommai to take appropriate actions against traitors such as Ishwarappa,” Kushwaha said in a tweet.
RJD Presidency Lalu Prasad Yadav, while responding to the controversy over the Hijab controversy, stated it is headed towards civil war, and the Prime Vice-President Narendra Modi and the ruling BJP are the ones responsible for this.
“… PM Narendra Modi is not a public speaker about unemployment, inflation, poverty, inflation, and other issues. He constantly talks about temple-mosque, riots, and religious beliefs. The citizens of India are sick of the nonsense that comes from BJP as well as Narendra Modi,” he declared.
