Experts point out risk of chemical-ridden intimate hygiene washes
Urging women not to ignore their intimate hygiene, health experts have warned against using chemical douches that increase the risk of infection. Speaking on the eve of International Women’s Day, experts recommended on Sunday the use of hygiene products that have natural ingredients enriched with bacterial and fungal prevention properties.
Women should particularly use intimate washes that improve their skin health and serve as a useful complementary therapy for those with vaginal infections, RP Prashar of the Delhi-based Ayurveda Hospital said in a statement.

Similarly, women in the 18 to 45 age group do not share these types of problems either because of their busy schedules or because of their shyness, according to several studies. The Union government has also emphasized safe hygiene practices.
The Corporation for the Development of Fragrances and Flavors (FFDC) of the Ministry of Medium, Small and Micro-enterprises (MIPYMES) has prepared the serum and natural fragrance for the face and recently transferred the technology to AIMIL.
