Farm wood in Fallout 76: Fallout 76‘s wood isn’t the rarest thing to obtain; it’s one of the less difficult ones. Unfortunately, wood is used in virtually everything.
They often feature a wooden stock if you wish to make weapons. Most of the stuff you’ll need to create for your camp will need some wood.
As a result, you’ll run out of wood more often than you realize. You will need to cultivate more of it once that occurs.
Fallout 76: How to get wood
You may get wood by strolling across the forest and gathering it from fallen trees. For example, in the map’s woodland area, there are a lot of logs lying about.
You should expect to get two to eight wood scraps for each log. The same is true of wood stacks seen in cities.
But you’ll only go so far with it. You will need other strategies, such as collecting trash after those logs run out. For example, when you shred the following objects, you’ll obtain wood:
- Accordion
- Guitar, acoustic
- Nuclear Roller Ball
- Game of autopsy
- Button-peen hammer
- Broken Clipboard
- Hammersmith Blacksmith
- Game Board: Blast Radius

More products than those mentioned below can provide you with wood, but they only offer one or two of each. While obtaining these things will be helpful, there are many superior methods to get wood.
Fallout 76’s best method for farming wood
As we’ve shown, it’s far preferable to acquire wood from fallen logs and wood heaps than from anything you may find in the real world. As a result, it makes sense to visit places with a large log and wood pile accumulations.
The Gilman Lumber Mill should be your first stop. For younger players, getting to this place is simple since it is located right south of Vault 76.
You may collect a lot of wood from this location as well. In addition to logs lying on the ground nearby, wood heaps are strewn all over this region. You may quickly get 150 pieces of wood from this region each day.
When you’re finished with the sawmill, go to Sylvie & Sons Logging Camp. There are also plenty of logs and wood heaps in this region.
You may acquire 200 more logs daily from this location’s wood piles. The figures mentioned are averages. Each time you go, you can get more or less wood.
You may now go to Helvetia to stop your wood farming. Instead, you may harvest wood scraps from the many homes in Helvetia, east of Flatwoods, where there are firewood piles.
In particular, seek the yellow townhouse. You can gather around 60 pieces of wood daily from the enormous pile of wood outside.
