Final Fantasy 6’s composer describes the opera scene’s voices: Square Enix’s Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster games have been a surprise and fun way to play some of the first games in the series again. These Pixel Remasters update the first six games in the series.

They give them new pixel art that is more faithful to the originals. Make them easier to play, and even change the game’s original music. Pixel Remaster, the last game in this series, has been out for a few days. Fans on both Steam and mobile devices were excited to see it.

The Pixel Remaster of Final Fantasy 6 also had a lot of changes made to it, but some parts of the game keep the same. Among other things, Sabin’s Phantom Train Suplex feat has been kept in the new version of the game, which is more faithful to the original and doesn’t have the censorship in the SNES version.

Nonetheless, one of the most important changes to the game is one of its most famous scenes, the opera with party member Celes.
FINAL FANTASY 6’s opera scene has been changed to look more like Square Enix’s other 2D-HD games like Octopath Traveler. The scene now also has voice recordings in seven different languages.

Nobuo Uematsu, a well-known composer, was the star of a new Square Enix video. He said that since the original version didn’t have vocals, it would be nice if the Pixel Remaster had them. He said that this idea suggested “half-jokingly” and thought it was impossible at first.

On the other hand, Uematsu had the support of co-director Yoshinori Kitase. Who said that he helped make Uematsu’s idea come to life. All seven voice recordings of the opera send to Uematsu simultaneously. He move to tears by the first time it play for him.

“No matter what language it was, even if I didn’t understand it, I couldn’t help but cry.” “To be honest, when those tears came, I was sure that singing this [multi-language song] was the right thing to do. This made me very happy. It’s clear that this scene from Final Fantasy 6 still has a lot of value today. Thank you, Square Enix!”

They did notice that Celes’ voice was less operatic in this scene than in other song performances at concerts like Distant Worlds. Uematsu said this was a deliberate decision because Celes isn’t an opera singer. Instead, the team chose singers who were more interested in music to be in the show instead.

The Final Fantasy 6 Pixel Remaster is now out for both mobile and PC.
