A devastating fire broke out at the district health department in Barasat, West Bengal. The area is covered in black smoke. The fire was brought under control after several attempts of 12 engines of the fire brigade. However, there is still a blanket of smoke all around. A fire broke out in the office of Deputy CMOH in Barasat late on Friday night. As this happened at midnight, naturally no one noticed the matter at first. The locals can understand the matter after the fire started blazing. The fire brigade was informed immediately. Twelve fire engines arrived at the scene to control the blaze. But by then the fire had spread. The fire brigade started working during the war. After about 4 hours the situation came under control. However, according to the latest news, the area is still covered in smoke. The fire brigade said it was not immediately clear what caused the blaze, but initially, it was thought to be a short circuit.

It is to be noted that a lot of medicines were stored in that office of the Deputy CMOH of Barasat. It is learned that a large quantity of Kovid vaccine was stored there. The vaccine is expected to be destroyed in the fire. Kovid is growing by leaps and bounds during the voting season. The demand for vaccines is also increasing. In this situation, this incident has raised the concern of the health department.
