A fire broke out at the Maple Bear pre-school in Pasir Panjang.
On Tuesday night, a fire broke out at the Maple Bear Preschool in Pasir Panjang (August 10).
The Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said they knew about the fire at 243 Pasir Panjang Road around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
“The SCDF carried out a forced entry into the facility. No one was on the premises at the time of the fire,” the agency said.
The fire that involved “contents” at the pre-school was “largely confined to the front of the facility,” SCDF added.
SCDF extinguished the fire with two engines of water.
“No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation,” he said.
In videos taken by CNA readers, the fire can be seen engulfing the front of the grounded property and emitting thick smoke into the air.
Several fire trucks and police cars surrounded the area, with bystanders observing the scene. Police started the investigation to identify the reason behind the fire.
