Fire Broke out in Yishun block of flats in Singapore: 10 people in the Hospital.
Ten people, including a police officer, were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in Block 141 on Yishun Ring Road on Tuesday morning (June 29).
Therefore, the Singapore Civil Defense Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire in the main bedrooms of the third, fourth and fifth-floor units around 8:30 a.m. M.
About 100 residents living in units up to the 10th floor had self-evacuated before the SCDF arrived.
Videos circulating online show bright orange flames engulfing units on the third, fourth, and fifth floors. Dense gray smoke can be seen billowing towards the plains above.
However, the SCDF said they had extinguished the fire with three jets of water. In addition, five off-duty SCDF personnel in the vicinity assisted with firefighting and medical operations.

Meanwhile, firefighters sprayed water outside the block to smother the fire that leaped from the bedroom windows, the SCDF added.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and police said that they would investigate the reason.
GRC MP Nee Soon K. Shanmugam said at the scene that four units were “badly affected” by the fire and that it started in a unit with an elderly woman.
“Fortunately, the damage is limited to these four units … In six minutes (from the start of the fire), the fire engines from the Yishun fire station were here, and within a minute or so the fire trucks were here … under control in 10 minutes, “he said.
However, the occupants of the four units have received shelter at the Chong Pang Community Center, and the Housing Development Board will provide them with temporary housing.
