The Russian military launched missiles into various cities in Ukraine after Ukrainian President Vladimir Putin authorized a military operation.

Gunfire was also heard close to Kyiv’s main airport. Here are the latest developments in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine:
1. Anton Gerashchenko, Ukraine’s deputy minister of interior, has evidence that Russia has launched missiles at military headquarters, airports, and military warehouses close to Kyiv, Kharkiv, and the Dnieper.
2. The Russian defense ministry has said that it sought to destroy Ukrainian militaristic infrastructure by using high-precision weapons.

3. The US condemned the move of Vladimir Putin and said that the world would “hold Russia accountable” for the conflict against Ukraine.

5. The flights from cities in the southern part of Russia close to Ukraine were canceled following Putin’s declaration of war.
The flights from 11 airports in the south part of Russia and one airport in Moscow’s annexation of Crimea were canceled by Russia’s principal aviation regulator Rosaviatsia, stated in an announcement.
