Gorakhpur: Prime Secretary Narendra Modi will be in Uttar Pradesh yet again today to announce significant projects in advance of the elections in the state next year
The latest time is in Gorakhpur, one of the most renowned cities in eastern UP, and Chief Secretary Yogi Adityanath.
In Gorakhpur, PM Modi will be present at the ceremony to reopen the city’s fertilizer plant closed for more than three decades.
Prime Minister Modi will also open the 300-bed AIIMS facility and the regional medical research center, which houses a lab for viruses and testing.
The government claims that the three projects will cost about Rs 10,000 crore. The front-page advertisements in every newspaper have been announced for the visit of the Prime Minister.
Purvanchal, also known as eastern UP, is an essential location for BJP as the state election is scheduled to occur in the next few months.
The party was able to win the majority from the area’s 150 + seats in the 2017 elections; however, it was Akhilesh Yadav from his Samajwadi Party – the BJP’s principal opponent.
Mr. Yadav has put an alliance of rainbows, comprising a variety of eastern UP allies. One of them was Om Prakash Rajbhar, a Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party member who was a candidate in the 2017 elections as BJP allies.
In Gorakhpur, The Prime Minister is scheduled to address a quasi-political occasion like those held for his earlier UP visits.
The most recent was the official opening of the Purvanchal Expressway in Sultanpur and the ceremony to lay the foundation stone for the Noida international airport.
