Former Olympian Kim Glass reported she was attacked in downtown Los Angeles

Former Olympian Kim Glass reported she was attacked in downtown Los Angeles.

Kim Glass, a former volleyball Olympian, claimed that she was assaulted in downtown Los Angeles and had many facial fractures in addition to having one of her eyes swelled shut.

Glass said she was hurt when a now-arrested homeless guy flung a metal item at her face.

Olympic silver medallist Glass said she was walking out of lunch with a companion when she saw a guy on the other side of the street holding something. The Associated Press reported that the event took place on Friday.

Glass said, “He just kind of glared at me with some fairly angry eyes.” Of course, he threw it from the street since it occurred so quickly, and he was nowhere near me.

She said that when the guy hurled the item at her, onlookers restrained him until the police came.

Glass said that the event left her with many facial fractures and that one of her eyes was swelled shut and needed sutures. According to Glass, the item resembled a “pipe.”

She promised her supporters that she would recover from her wounds despite the seriousness of the assault.
