On Wednesday, four additional pilgrims died in Kedarnath, while three more were airlifted to AIIMS-Rishikesh in an air ambulance after becoming unwell.
BK Shukla, the Chief Medical Officer of Rudraprayag, said 38 pilgrims had died on their trip to Kedarnath since it opened on May 6 due to cardiac and other health issues.

Rishi Bhadauriya, 65, of Gwalior; Shambhu Dayal Yadav, 66, of Guna in Madhya Pradesh; Kamalnath Bhatt, 60, of Uttar Pradesh; and Changdev Janardan Shinde, 65, of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, were among the pilgrims who died on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, three pilgrims, including two ladies, were flown to AIIMS-Rishikesh for treatment after complaining of breathlessness.
Munni Devi, 49, from Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, Savitri Devi, 60, from Guna, and Tara Chand, 65, from Nagpur in Maharashtra have been identified.
