GDC Announces Game of the Year Nominees

GDC Announces Game of the Year Nominees: Although this year’s Game Developers Conference is online for the last two years, thus the event schedule to occur in 2022.

 Live, held within San Francisco, CA, from March 21 to 25. So This year’s Game Developers Choice Awards.

GDCA is among the most anticipated parts of the annual conference.

Though they honored the game developers who pushed audio, design, storytelling, innovation, and social impact during the previous year.

Five games select to nominate for the GDCA Game of the Year award. And Three of the nominees are familiar to players. Who has been following The Game Awards in December 2021?

Resident Evil Village, Arkane Studios Time-hopping First-person shooter Deathloop, and TGA Game of Year winner. It Takes Two are all in the running for consideration at GDCA.

On the list is Inscription, a deck builder with a theme of horror released through Devolver Digital and Forza Horizon 5.

 

GDC Announces Game of the Year

Some of the contenders in the running in the GDCA Game of the Year award were also nominate in other categories. 

Deathloopis consider for six awards. Two have been selected for five awards, while Forza Horizon 5has maintained its momentum with four nominations. 

The winners of every category will reveal during the GDCA ceremony on March 23. In addition, the ceremony will be streamed live on the GDC Twitch channel.

The game released in September 2021 for PC, and as an exclusive timed console exclusive for PlayStation 5.

Death loop could transport players into the tale that follows two bloody assassins trapped in a time loop. 

The FPS game, created by the company behind The Dishonored series and Prey in 2017 Preyimmediately, was a standout due to its stunning visual style and compelling story. 

It has received accolades from other associations and mostly positive reviews from critics and players.

Game of the Year Nominees

Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Twosnuck onto the scene in a flash and immediately caught the attention of gamers.

 It takes Two can only be played cooperatively. It requires two players to solve puzzles and discover the intricate relationship between its characters.

 Although it is generally categorized as an adventure-type game, Hazelight’s latest title is a clever mashup of different genres. 

It includes levels that incorporate gameplay mechanics from platformers, racers, shooters, and various other games. 

Apart from being named Game of the Year at TGA, It Takes Two has also been awarded and nominated for several categories at other award shows for video games.
