Germany has decided to restrict private gatherings to 10 persons. 

BERLIN: Germany is planning to restrict private gatherings starting on December 28 to at most 10 people who have been vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19, as per the draft of measures viewed by Reuters earlier on Monday.

The limit will be identical for outdoor and indoor gatherings. Still, youngsters under 14 are excluded from the limit as per the statement in the draft.

The document also states that restaurant access is restricted to those who have proof of vaccine or recovery.

The document also states that the government will also provide financial assistance to firms and organizations affected by pandemic-related measures, as indicated in the report.

German President Olaf Scholz and the leaders of the 16 German states are scheduled to discuss measures they have planned on Tuesday afternoon.
