Group Seeks to Remove Prosecutor After Wisconsin Parade Crash.
The Wisconsin governor received a complaint requesting the removal of the Milwaukee County district attorney because one of his prosecutors recommended a $ 1,000 bond for a man who authorities say drove his truck in a Christmas parade. in a nearby county and killed six people.
Darrell Brooks is being held on a $ 5 million bonds for the six murder charges he faces at the Nov. 21 parade in nearby Waukesha County. He was released on bail a few days earlier after allegedly running over his son’s mother with his truck.
Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm has come under intense criticism for his office’s bail recommendation. Chisholm has called him “inappropriately short.”
