Gunman shot to death at North Carolina Walmart.
North Carolina (AP) – Authorities say police shot and killed a gunman who reportedly pointed a gun at a worker at a Walmart store in North Carolina.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a Twitter post that the man was pronounced dead at a hospital after Friday’s shooting.
He said no officer was injured. A police statement says a security guard at a Walmart in Charlotte told police that a man pointed a gun at him and also threatened to shoot officers if they responded.
According to authorities, officers shot the man as they approached him for what they considered a lethal threat. Officers tried life-saving measures until paramedics arrived.
