Halo The Master Chief Collection available for free this weekend until October 18

343 Industries has announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be available to play for free until October 17 at 11:59 p.m. PT (2:59 a.m. ET on October 18). Offer is available on Xbox or Steam.

During this period, the entire collection was also 50% off both packaged and individually. Titles include Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, Halo: Reach, and Halo 4. Halo: The Master Chief Collection has all the latest seasonal updates from 343 Industries.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection Season 8 is currently underway with new features such as custom game browser support as well as some new weapon and vehicle skins for Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 3.

The latter also has new ones. Gold collectible moas are hidden throughout. his campaign missions and a new map called Icebox. New mythical armor inspired by mythology and high fantasy has been added to Halo 3 and Halo: Reach.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection is also available via Xbox Game Pass. The latest entry in the franchise, Halo Infinite, will be released on December 8 on PC, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One. However, the game will not have a co-op campaign or Forge at launch.
