According to reports, Hardik Patel, who just resigned from Congress, will join the BJP on Thursday.
The 28-year-old Gujarat Patidar politician joined the Congress in 2019 and left on May 18 after penning a scathing resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi. He criticized Rahul Gandhi in the letter, claiming that “high leaders” were distracted by their cellphones and that Gujarat Congress leaders were more concerned with providing chicken sandwiches for them.
Although Hardik Patel has denied joining the BJP, his support for the party and its leadership painted a different tale.

Soon after leaving the Congress, he debunked rumors by declaring he “is not in the BJP yet” and hasn’t decided whether to join the BJP or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
He also said that three years in Congress had been “wasted.”
“I am not in the BJP yet and have not chosen to join,” Hardik Patel told reporters while praising the party on several issues, including the Ayodhya judgment and the repeal of Article 370, which granted Jammu and Kashmir special status.
“I haven’t decided whether to join the BJP or the AAP yet. Whatever choice I make will be in the people’s best interests, “said he
