Heat rule out Jimmy Butler for Wednesday.
It was reported that the Miami Heat ruled out guard Jimmy Butler for Wednesday night’s game against Portland because of an ankle injury.
Butler was injured in the final quarter in Monday’s defeat at Golden State. Butler was smashed on the floor and needed to be lifted to get off of the ground.
Coach of the Heat Erik Spoelstra said afterward that Butler injured his ankle.
Butler was able to leave, scoring 22 points with five rebounds. He’s scoring 23.2 points and 5.9 rebounding as well as 5.4 assists per game during the season. But he’s missed 15 games due to injury.
The Heat also eliminated KZ Okpala (wrist) against the Blazers. The forward averages a 3.7 score per game over 11.6 minutes per game.
The Heat is in the middle of seven games on the road, although the lid-lifter in San Antonio was postponed.
The Heat are currently 2-0 on their road trip and have three games to play beginning on Wednesday night.
