India pacer Mohammed Shami on Monday praised Rohit Sharma, saying that he’s a great and highly accommodating captain.
The Rohit-led team took the ODI series by 3-1 over West Indies.
The two teams will play each other in their T20I match in Kolkata beginning on the 16th of February.

“Rohit surely is an excellent captain. He has won numerous IPL seasons and is a fantastic leader. He has been very helpful to me since we’ve been playing for quite a long time now,” Shami told ANI.
When he was selected to be a part of Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.5 crore during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, the massive auctions, the pacer stated that he’s thrilled to join the franchise.
“I am delighted and look forward to joining this team in the shortest time I can. I will give my 100% to this franchise to get the best possible results,” said the pacer.
“I always aim to leave an impression to the next generation of players to emulate. Therefore, I’ll be honest with all the youngsters in the team to inspire them to do higher for their team. The youngsters are performing extremely well, and it’s positive for our country.” he said.
IPL 2022’s mega auction took place at Bengaluru between February 12-13.
Ishan Kishan Deepak Chahar and Shreyas Iyer were the most sought-after choices of the auction.
In the meantime, India batter Suresh Raina, Australia batters Steve Smith and Aaron Finch, and New Zealand opener Martin Guptill remained unsold in the auction.
Indian player Ishant Sharma could not find a buyer and was not sold.
