Himanta Sarma Slams Arvind Kejriwal

Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam Chief Minister, slammed Arvind Kejriwal’s comments on ‘The Kashmir Files. He asked him to stop being “anti-Hindu,” stating that the former has no right to shame society.

In his speech to the Delhi Assembly, Mr. Kejriwal accused the BJP leaders of “promoting” the movie. He asked the movie filmmakers to upload it on YouTube, which drew backlash against Chief Minister.

The BJP attacked Mr. Kejriwal because he made several movies in the past that were tax-free in the capital, but not the Vivek Agnatri film.

Ms. Sarma addressed reporters and stated that regardless of whether you tax it or not, you have no right to criticize or humiliate us. You can do what you want, but don’t be so anti-Hindu in front of other people. Our Hindu samaj is more anti-Hindu than we are in the Hindu family. It was also a sign of hope for the rest of the world.

When Mr. Sarma was asked about the interest of the Delhi Chief Minister in making the Anupam Khan starrer film available for all to watch on YouTube, he stated that Mr. Kejriwal had made many movies in Delhi tax-free.

“Arvind Kejriwal has made many movies in Delhi that are tax-free. I want to ask him why he didn’t ask for permission to upload all the movies to YouTube. “Why are you only interested in The Kashmir Files being uploaded to YouTube?” He said.

On Friday, the Assam Chief Minister had accused Mr. Kejriwal that he was using the Delhi assembly to “rub salt in the wounds of Hindus.”

“If you don’t want #KashmirFiles to be tax-free, don’t. Stop mocking Kashmiri Pandits. Their sufferings result from this condescending attitude and appeasement politics of secularists. “It doesn’t make sense for a CM that the Assembly is used to rub salt into the wounds of Hindus,” Mr. Sarma stated.
