With initial consistency, Rishabh Pant made his debut for all three formats for Team India and is hailed as the next MS Dhoni for India. (PROCEEDINGS)
Rishabh Pant, the swordsman fighter from India, said MS Dhoni is the hitter he loves to hit with because hitting becomes easier when Dhoni is on the other side.
Pant, who is considered the next Dhoni for India, also regrets that he hasn’t had many opportunities to hit with his favorite hitter. Rishabh revealed his fondness for batting mates as he spoke to Delhi Capitals in an online conversation.
“Although I didn’t have many opportunities to hit with Mahi Bhai, he is my favorite hitting partner because hitting becomes easier when he’s on the other side. He plans for you and you just follow him. You don’t need to worry about a thing. That your mind works, especially during the chases, is amazing, “Pant said.

Developing more about his favorite hitting partners, Pant also added that he likes to hit with all the older adults on the team. “I like to bat with Virat bhai and Rohit bhai. Batting with older people is a completely different experience. By being on the other end with them, you realize how their mind works. I even love hitting with Shreyas (Shreyasi Iyer) and Shiki bhai (Shikhar Dhawan) on the IPL.
The 22-year-old big hitter made his T20 debut in February 2017 against England and has also played 13 Tests and 16 ODI so far. He lost his place on the T20I side to KL Rahul during India’s New Zealand tour earlier this year and also struggled to impress in the Tests.
Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals assistant coach Mohammad Kaif has said that Pant’s batting position has not yet been set by team management. “Rishabh Pant is a free-flowing player. He is an attacking player and should play attacking shots from the first ball, “Kaif told former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra on his YouTube show” AakashVani “.
The left-hander has been impressive in the last IPL seasons of 2018 and 2019, as he racked up 488 and 684 runs respectively.
