On Saturday, Mithali Raj, India’s skipper, broke the record for the most matches she captained at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
Belinda Clark, the Australian legend, was beaten by the Indian skipper in her 24th match.
The 39-year old had played 150 ODIs for India as captain against New Zealand and still holds the record for the most matches as captain in all ODIs.

Mithali won Saturday’s toss and chose to bat first against West Indies at Seddon Park in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2022 match.
The 39-year old failed to make an impression with the bat, scoring only five runs from 11 balls.
India needs to win in contention for the semi-finals, while West Indies need to win to keep their place at the tournament.
They have won over New Zealand, England, and Australia. The sides have remained the same for the clash.
