In the past 12 hours, security forces in Kashmir have launched a major crackdown on terrorists.
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Jammu and Kashmir police reported that four terrorists had been killed in three separate encounters at the Pulwama Ganderbal and Handwara areas of Kashmir.
Vijay Kumar, Kashmir IGP, stated that four terrorists had been killed during encounters in Kashmir. The operations are continuing.

He said that the security forces in Kashmir had launched multiple processes.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar stated, “We had launched joint operation at 4-5 locations last evening, so far two terrorists have been killed in Pulwama and one terrorist of LeT has been killed in Ganderbal.”
All operations are underway. Kumar said that contact is expected to be established at other locations.
Two terrorists were killed in the first encounter in ChewaKalan village in Pulwama district, South Kashmir.
Officials claim that two more terrorists may be hiding there.
One LeT terrorist was killed during the gunfight in the Kaubagh Nunar district of Ganderbal in central Kashmir. Officials stated that the operation was currently in progress.
According to Kashmir Zone Police, one terrorist was killed in an attack at Nechama in the Rajwar area of Handwara Saturday morning.

Three terrorists were earlier killed in Kashmir on February 10, including two LeT terrorists killed in Batpora, Pulwama, and one terrorist killed in Hazratbal, Srinagar.
Twenty-eight anti-terrorist operations have been carried out in Kashmir so far this year.
The security forces have killed Thirty-five terrorists, including three top commanders and nine Pakistani terrorists.
Security forces also captured 16 terrorists and more terrorists’ accomplices alive this year.
