Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said his government’s “dream that is Gazva-e Hind” won’t be fulfilled up to the “Qayamat,” which means that the government must operate according to the Constitution and not to the Shariat law.
In a candid interview, exclusive to ANI, CM Adityanath said, “I can say with utter clarity that this is new India, this is the India of world’s most popular leader Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In this new India, development is for all and there will be appeasement of none.”
He declared that the government follows the philosophy in the form of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas.
“The new India will be governed by the Constitution and not the Shariat. It follows the principles that are Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. I would also like to state it in clear terms that the vision of Gazva-e Hind is not going to be realized until the Qayamat,” he said.
In a tweet to share his thoughts, the CM has stated, “Those who dream of Gazva-e-Hind, the religious fanatics from Talibani thinking, know that this… India will operate according to its constitution and will not run the principles of Shariat …!”
Yogi Adityanath, resolving his position in the Karnataka Hijab controversy, claimed that a dress code is required at schools.
He said that he has never demanded the public or employees who work in UP not to dress in saffron because the clothes they choose to wear are their personal preference.
“I am a firm believer that the system must operate following the Indian Constitution. We shouldn’t restrict our personal beliefs, fundamental rights, or our individual preferences on the government or the establishments,” he told ANI.
“Am I asking people and the workers UP to dress in saffron? What they wear is their decision. In schools, however, there must be an appropriate dress code. This is an issue for schools and the schools’ discipline,” said the official. The Chief Minister further stated that one’s personal beliefs are distinct, “but when one talks about institutions, one must accept the rules that govern them, the Chief Minister said. In a national setting, the Constitution is to be respected.”
Responding to Asaduddin Owaisi’s comment in which he said that Hijab can be a basic human right and that in the future, a hijab-clad female will become the Prime Minister, Adityanath said, “It is for the liberty and rights of every girl (daughter of India) that PM Modi has put an end to the insanity from Triple Talak. It is for the sake of honor and justice as well as the empowerment of the girl that these choices are being made.”
“We can say the system won’t function following the Shariat; however, it will operate according to the Constitution. When the system operates following the Constitution, each girl will be safe and honored, and will be self-sufficient,” the Chief Minister stated.
