Indian Air Force is taking Emergency landing of warplanes on national highways.
An Indian Air Force plane made an emergency landing on the national highway. Passersby were surprised to see the Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter jet in the middle of the road.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Roads and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari were present on the plane. It was a pre-planned exercise.
The Air Force exercise was held in Rajasthan on Thursday. In addition to the two Union ministers, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria was also present at the training.
The plane made an emergency landing on National Highway No. 2 in Barmer, Rajasthan. After the exercise, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted the whole thing.
He wrote: ‘Air force planes made an emergency landing today on a highway that is usually full of cars and trucks. It has been shown that national roads can also be an emergency landing field if necessary.
This shows that India is ready to face any situation. As a result, from now on, Indian Air Force fighter jets will be able to land on National Highway 925 in case of emergency.
A total of 12 highways in different states, including the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, have been identified as Potential Emergency Landing Runways.
Jaguars and Sukhoi Su-30 MKI aircraft land and take off after landing in the field of the C-130J Super Hercules.
The exercise was called to test the quality of the road infrastructure. Video of the landing showed the plane safely touching the road.
We should note that the Air Force special aircraft had never conducted drill drills with ministers in such a way before. It may sound like a Hollywood story, but today it is true.
Officials from the National Highway Authority of India have created this airstrip on the National Highway in Burmer, Rajasthan, in consultation with the Indian Air Force officials.
It is worth mentioning that a few days ago, a plane pilot from Bangladesh suddenly fell ill in the middle of the sky. The plane made an emergency landing in Nagpur.
I was going from Mascot to Dhaka. The critically ill pilot was subsequently admitted to the hospital.
Thus, if an aircraft needs to make an emergency landing or if the pilot falls ill in the air.
However, IAF is now sure that they can use this type of road for emergency landings.
