Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee, who is being investigated by the ED and the CBI for his alleged participation in the cattle smuggling fraud, launched a vicious assault on Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday, dubbing him “India’s greatest Pappu.”
Abhishek Banerjee referred to Amit Shah as the “worst element” of the present Union cabinet and blamed him for mobilizing the government’s resources against Trinamool Congress politicians in West Bengal.
“He is the largest Pappu in the nation. He is attempting to instill in us a sense of patriotism, but his son Jai Shah is reluctant to accept the Tricolor “said he. The JP only knows how to modify geographical names, according to the TMC MP.

“If they had won the election in West Bengal, the names of Midnapore and Darjeeling would have been altered to “Modinipur” and “Modijiling,” respectively. But in the 2021 Assembly elections, the people of West Bengal delivered a proper retort to the BJP. In the panchayat election next year and eventually in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, I’m certain that the BJP will get a comparable and appropriate response “said Abhishek Banerjee.
He asserted that the recent raids in West Bengal by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) were orchestrated by the BJP-led federal government, and he added that the Trinamool Congress would become stronger the more the federal government unleashed its central agencies.
It should be mentioned that Abhishek was interrogated by the government last week for many hours. Mamata Banerjee’s West Bengal administration is under heat for promising to provide Rs 60,000 to each of the 45,000 Durga puja groups that have formed, in addition to offering a 60% power bill rebate.
“The Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee did the right thing by providing the contribution, which is just a little amount of around Rs 250 crore. The Chief Minister did the right thing by providing a subsidy of merely Rs 250 crore if the BJP can erect a statue in Gujarat for Rs 3,000 crore and spend Rs 8,000 crore on an airplane “Abhishek Banerjee made this statement while speaking to a group of party members in Kolkata.
Samik Bhattacharya, the state BJP spokesperson for West Bengal, responded to his comments by saying that there is no need to pay attention to what he says. He said that the man was speaking out of fear and desperation.
