Intel suspends business in Russia due to the Russian military operation in Ukraine. 

Intel, a leading American chipmaker, announced on Tuesday that it had halted business operations in Russia, joining a spate of other corporations that have left the nation after it invaded Ukraine.

The company said it had established business continuity measures to minimize the impact on its global operations after suspending shipments to customers in Russia and Belarus last month.

“Intel continues to oppose Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and calls for a fast return to peace,” the company said.

As Ukraine encouraged U.S. cloud-computing and software businesses to stop doing business with Russia, International Business Machines Corp (IBM.N) also halted shipments.

In Russia, corporations and government agencies have depended on technology established in the West. The basis for their owned-and-operated IT systems, IBM, Dell Technologies, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Co-lead the market.
