Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Lucknow Super Giants

They won by 18 runs against Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League on Tuesday thanks to Faf du Plessis’ quick 96 and Josh Hazlewood’s excellent bowling. The 37-year-old du Plessis hit a 64-ball innings to help RCB reach 181 for six after being put in to bat. Hazlewood (4/25) then took two wickets in the first and two in the last over as RCB kept LSG to 163 for eight and won their fifth game of the season.

Both Hazlewood and du Plessis played brilliantly on their own, but some of the talks about the two balls that led to Marcus Stoinis’ wicket may have overshadowed them a little. Hazlewood didn’t call a wide outside off, then du Plessis shuffled way too much in the following delivery and played on.

However, RCB is now second in the points table, while LSG dropped to fourth.

Opener du Plessis, who had not scored many runs since his 88 in the first game of the season, led the innings to perfection and only got out on the penultimate ball of the last over. RCB won the game.

Early in the game, Hazlewood bowled a great first spell for LSG. Use the bounce and movement to get rid of dangerous Quinton de Kock (3) and Manish Pandey (6) in a short amount of time,

The Australian fast bowler gave away only 25 runs because he was consistent with his line and length during the match.

LSG captain KL Rahul returned to the dugout soon after Pandey because a delivery down the leg-side hit his bat, and RCB decided to review it. UltraEdge saw a rise, and RCB made a huge breakthrough thanks to the great review.

Krunal Pandya (42) made runs at a reasonable rate, but he looked nervous against Glenn Maxwell and eventually lost to the Aussie.

LSG couldn’t make big deals with other businesses. Stoinis (24), Ayush Badoni (13), and Deepak Hooda (12) threw away chances to score for their teams.

He took two wickets, Mohammed Siraj took one, and Maxwell took one each.

Before, du Plessis had 11 boundaries and two sixes, playing shots all over the DY Patil Stadium. This is how it worked:

The Super Giants let RCB bat, and the bowlers were able to hit at regular intervals, but they couldn’t figure out how to deal with the former South African captain.

Dushmantha Chamber, a Sri Lankan right-arm fast bowler, had a good first over for LSG, taking the wickets of opener Anuj Rawat (4) and Virat Kohli (0). Kohli was out for a first-ball duck.

In the IPL, Maxwell (23), who had a great run, was hoping to keep it going. He hit Chameera for two fours and one six in the third over.

As LSG took over the game again, the all-rounder was knocked out by a quick hit with his favorite shot, the switch hit.

Maxwell tried to do a backward sweep after a Krunal Pandya (1/29) delivery, but he didn’t get it right. Jason Holder caught it as RCB fell to 44/3.

On the other hand, young Suyash Prabhudessai (10) came to a few overs later. Du Plessis made sure that RCB kept scoring at a good rate.

On the other hand, Shahid Ahmed (26) was the perfect partner for du Plessis (70).
