Israel PM Naftali Bennett will first official visit to India in April

Israel PM Naftali Bennett will first official visit to India in April.

Israel’s Prime Minister Naftali Bennett will visit India for the first time on April 2 at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation. The visit will take place on the 30th anniversary of Israel and India’s establishment of diplomatic relations.

Bennett will meet with Prime Minister Modi and other senior government officials during his tour and visit the country’s Jewish community.

This visit will underscore the importance of the two countries relationship. The visit’s goal is to develop and consolidate Israel’s strategic alliance with India and strengthen bilateral ties.

Bennett and Modi will also explore how to improve cooperation in various areas, including innovation, the economy, R&D, agriculture, and more.

“I am honored to pay my first official visit to India at Prime Minister Modi’s request. Together, we will continue to set the tone for our nations’ ties. Modi has re-established diplomatic relations between India and Israel, which is historic. The bonds between our two distinct cultures — Indian and Jewish — are strong, built on mutual respect and meaningful collaborations, “Bennett remarked.

“We can learn a lot from the Indians, which is exactly what we are trying to accomplish. We will collaborate in various sectors, including innovation and technology, security and cyber, agriculture, and climate change.” He added.

Last October, the two leaders met on the sidelines of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, where Prime Minister Modi asked Bennett to undertake an official visit to India.
