Sanjay Raut

The Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said Thursday that it is well-known that he is Sharad Pawar’s man and that the two have a good relationship that led to the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra, which was led by Raut, in 2019. The two formed the government in 2019.

His comments come a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Mr. Pawar in Delhi and raised the issue of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seizing the assets of Mr. Raut, which Mr. Pawar did.

The BJP immediately slammed Mr. Raut, claiming that his remarks show he is closer to Mr. Pawar than his own party’s president and Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray.

As of Tuesday, the Enforcement Directorate had taken assets worth more than 11.15 crore from Mr. Raut’s wife and two of his associates as part of an investigation linked to some land deals.

After the meeting, Mr. Pawar told the press that he talked to the Prime Minister about the “injustice” done to Mr. Raut.

“I’m Sharad Pawar’s man.” In the Shiv Sena, I’ve had a good relationship with Pawar, which is why we could form this government. Asked about this, Mr. Raut said the BJP was “angry.”

The executive editor of the Sena mouthpiece “Saamana” is known for his close relationship with Mr. Pawar, even though their political parties are very different.

Late Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray, too, had a good relationship with the former agriculture minister of the United States. This is what you need to know:

Pawar was a big part of the three-party coalition that he helped build. In 2019, the Shiv Sena broke away from the BJP and joined forces with its ideological rivals, the Congress and the NCP, to form the MVA government. This government is called the MVA government.

Raut, a member of the BJP, said that Kirit Somaiya, a former Lok Sabha MP, took money in the name of funds raised to keep the warship INS Vikrant from being dismantled.

Kirit Somaiya said that he would save the INS Vikrant by collecting coins. The money was then taken to Somaiya’s office in Mulund, Mumbai, and some money was taken to Juhu. The money was moved through the Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative Bank, the MP for the Sena party told the BBC.

The Mumbai Police has filed a complaint against Somaiya, who has denied any wrongdoing. They want to look into the claims.

“Law will run its course.” Treason is the same as this crime (the alleged theft of funds), Mr. Raut.

It’s good that Raut has said that he was closer to Pawar than Thackeray. Chandrakant Patil, the head of the BJP in Maharashtra, said that was good.

People in Kolhapur heard Mr. Patil say that “Sanjay Raut has said that he is Sharad Pawar’s man.” That’s a good thing that Raut has said that he is more connected to Pawar than to his party leader, Uddhav Thackeray.

The former minister said that Mr. Pawar has shown that he is close to Mr. Raut because he hasn’t been as quick to help his party colleagues who are in trouble with the law.

Pawar also showed that he was close to Raut by meeting with the Prime Minister right away when Raut’s properties were taken. People in Pawar’s party and state cabinet were arrested, but “he never reacted so quickly.”
