Jharkhand BJP Leader Shot Dead at a Market by Unidentified Assailants

New Delhi: The local Jharkhand BJP leader and Chatra MP representative in the Latehar district, Jaivardhan Singh, was shot dead on Sunday in a market under the boundaries of the Barwahdih police station by unidentified assailants.

In a separate incident that occurred yesterday, a Trinamool Congressional Counselor (TMC) was shot in the leg near his residence in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal.

Das had to be taken first to a private hospital in Barrackpore and then transferred to Kolkata for better treatment.
