Senior journalist and Aaj Tak host Rohit Sardana has passed away. The 41-year-old man died of cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Noida on Friday (April 30).
The 41-year-old Aaj Tak presenter had recently tested positive for Covid-19 but was active and on track to recover. Rohit continued to encourage his colleagues and expanded Covid-related posts on Twitter until Thursday night.

However, his situation worsened on Thursday night. He was admitted to the Metro Multispecialty Hospital in Noida. In his career, Rohit Sardana started as a broadcaster on All India Radio. He made a name for himself as a show host on ETV, Sahara Samay, Zee News, and Aaj Tak.
Rohit Sardana was considered one of the most potent anchors in Hindi. As the host of Aaj Tak’s primetime shows Dangal, Rohit achieved a milestone in television anchoring that only a select few have succeeded. He was awarded the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Puraskar by the government in 2018.
Sardana’s former colleague and Zee News editor-in-chief Sudhir Chaudhary said in a tweet in Hindi.
