An astrologer arrested by Bengaluru police for misleading multiple people, including a former High Court judge and a high-ranking politician, has been charged with defrauding a real estate businessman out of 91 million rupees, the most of the 14 cases against him.
In a complaint filed with the Bengaluru police, Mysuru businessman Gururaj Ravi claimed that he was approached by astrologer Yuvaraj Swami with an offer to jointly purchase a disputed property worth Rs 150 million near Bengaluru airport and He charged him 85 million rupees, but failed. to fulfill the deal. Ravi said that he paid Rs 6.50 crore through RTGS, and issued three checks for Rs 25 crore each and one check for Rs 10 crore, in total for a total of Rs 85 crore.
