Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa Gets A Threat Letter Files Police Complaint

KS Eshwarappa, a Karnataka BJP leader, reported a complaint to the police after receiving a threat. The threat letter disclosed that the BJP leader’s tongue would be cut if he continued to refer to Tipu Sultan as a “Muslim Gunda.”

According to reports, the note was sent to his home.

Banners for Independence Day in Karnataka that featured Tipu Sultan and the Hindutva hero VD Savarkar sparked a dispute in the state.

Mr. Eshwarappa said that he has never referred to all Muslims as “Gundas” and is unafraid of threats of this kind.

On Tuesday, senior BJP leader KS Eshwarappa charged minorities with inciting racial conflict in Shivamogga, Karnataka.

“Elders in the Muslim community, I want you to know that I’m not claiming that all Muslims are terrorists. In the past, Muslim community elders have worked to promote peace; I want to urge them to counsel young people who are engaging in gundaism that if they don’t stop, the government will take action, and they should be prepared to face it “He said.

A gang of Tipu Sultan supporters reportedly tried to take down a Veer Savarkar poster that had put up at Ameer Ahmed circle in honor of Independence Day. As a result, a curfew has been enforced in several areas of the Shivamogga district.

Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited entered the fray by putting up a portrait of VD Savarkar at the Kempegowda Metro Station on August 16.

Chandrashekhar Azad, Udham Singh, and Savarkar are shown in the picture, hanging close to the steps of the station’s west entrance. Savarkar is depicted in the painting’s upper left corner.
