Kingdom Hearts Comes to a Nintendo Console: 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts’ release on the PS2.
Back then, a strange collaboration between Disney. The company that produced Mickey Mouse, and Square Enix, the company that developed Final Fantasy.
It resulted in creating one of the more adored games franchises ever.
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the franchise, Square Enix is releasing games from the Kingdom Hearts series on the Nintendo Switch through the cloud.
Kingdom Hearts Comes to a Nintendo Console
Beginning on February 10, Nintendo Switch owners can stream the next Kingdom Hearts games through the cloud: Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III and Re Mind (DLC), and the Kingdom Hearts collection which features all the games of the series.
The players who buy Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind (DLC) or the Kingdom Hearts collection will receive the Advent Red Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts III.
There are demos currently available for each game in the Nintendo eShop.
These demos intend to let users decide if their internet can handle cloud streaming. The game is now available to pre-order. Details on pricing are available on the Square Enix website.
