Lost Ark is restricting the creation of new characters

Lost Ark is restricting the creation of new characters:  Smilegate and Amazon Games are launching the well-known South Korean MMO Lost Ark in the west. As an outcome, those who developed the game are working to maintain the demand.

Based on the group of Lost Ark. It’s already required to limit the number of characters that can add to servers due to the game’s huge launch.

Lost Ark was released on Head Start access that began on February 8 at 9 A.M. PST. This allowed gamers from North America and Europe to create characters for the game’s initial servers of 25. Smilegate confirms that servers affected by the limitations on character creation include Asta, Avesta, Azena, Kadan, Mari, Regulus, Trixion, Train, Una, Valtan, and Zinnervale.

The majority of the restricted servers are within Europe Central. While North America West has the least affected servers. The group has also confirmed other servers are coming.

While certain Lost Ark players have been playing the new MMO for two days but many more will get access to the game in the official Western launch on the horizon.

The most popular Twitch streamers such as Asmongold, Sodapoppin.

And Summit1G are part of this week’s Head Start access to Lost Ark, and certain segments of the Twitch community could be keen to try the game out for themselves shortly.

Asmongold is not one of the more popular servers. As he’s chosen to remain on a more stable server known as Galatur. Which could still see a spike in users following the launch date.

Restricting the introduction of new characters to Lost Ark servers isn’t the only move Smilegate will be doing to meet the massive Western player base that the free-to-play game has attracted because two regions will get a brand new server per region.

Servers with high populations ypically target by some MMO players. Who want to ensure they can quickly find groups for raids dungeons. As well as other content but overloaded servers are often susceptible to queues for log-ins. EU Central will get the brand new server dubb Beatrice. While NA East will be receiving one dubbed Elzowin.

In peak times, Lost Ark has already reached 500,000 concurrent users on Steam which is one of the main reasons Smilegate has had to restrict the creation of new characters on servers with a high number of players.

Lost Ark is not the first game to implement limitations of this kind to reduce instability on servers, New World and Final Fantasy 14 have faced the same issue in the past few months. New World has begun integrating servers that are not as popular to reach the ideal server capacity.

Lost Ark is available for PC on February 11, 2022.
