Vijay Babu, a Malayalam actor and producer, has been charged with sexual assault by the police in Kerala.
People in Ernakulam South have filed a complaint with the police.
It was reported to police on April 22, they say.
The woman who made the complaint said that Vijay Babu sexually assaulted her in a flat in the city of Kochi. She said in her complaint that the offender did it again and again.

The complaint said that Mr. Babu committed the crime to give the victims roles in movies. They live in the Kozhikode district, where the complainant was born and raised.

Vijay Babu is the owner of “Friday Film House,” which is a company that makes movies. When he made “Philips and The Monkey Pen,” he won the Kerala State Film Award for Best Children’s Film.
