Man Arrested for Rape Accused After 33 Years in Jammu And Kashmir.
Police on Friday arrested a wanted fugitive in a 33-year-old rape case in the Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir, authorities said.
Ghulam Mohd, alias Gulla of Kherkote Banihal, was in hiding and on the run for the past 33 years after a rape and kidnapping case was reported against him, they said.

On specific information, the wanted criminal was arrested in the city of Srinagar, they said.
The defendant after committing the crime in 1988 constantly evaded arrest by changing his location and identity, officials said.
A charge sheet was filed against him in court, they said.
The main district court and session judge issued an order in Udhampur on June 22, 1989, and he is executed after his arrest in the Kashmir Valley, they said.
Reasi police developed specific information about the defendant’s presence in the Safakadal area of Srinagar and arrested him with the help of the Srinagar police, officials said.
Other defendants in the case, including Amkala, Ghulam Mohd Sheikh, and Sonaullah of Kherkote, Tehsil Banihal, were long-detained. They have secured a court bond, they said.
