Manchester United looking for a Leeds player with three appearances this season.
Leeds United defender Charlie Cresswell is attracting the attention of several Premier League teams, with the report of The Sun that Manchester United is a huge fan of the defender.
Cresswell threatens to enjoy a true breakout year at Elland Road. He made his debut for the Whites last season. However, it was during this season that he really managed to consolidate himself in the fold of the first team.
The 19-year-old has looked stunning every time he has appeared. He was praised by many when he made his Premier League debut against West Ham earlier in the campaign.
The injury has kept Cresswell from getting involved lately. And it seems some of Leeds’ Premier League rivals are hoping he won’t get a chance to make many more appearances for his childhood club.
The sun informs us that Manchester United and Liverpool are big fans of Cresswell. It should be noted that the teenager would be happy to stay in Leeds. However, you can leave if they are relegated and feel the need to profit.
Of course, it would obviously be a very controversial move if Cresswell headed to Old Trafford. So it’s hard enough to imagine Leeds letting him cross the Pennines.
But the idea that the decline would increase the likelihood of Cresswell leaving is also questionable. If Leeds fell, it would be hard to imagine players like Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk and Robin Koch staying in the Championship.
Thus, Cresswell could end up playing a key role in Leeds. It appears to be a future captain.
And surely it would be better to stay in Leeds.
