Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday instructed the suspension of two employees after an incidence of a man cheating to gain a government job revealed at a meeting here.
On Sunday, he presided over the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee’s monthly meeting at the Swatantrata Senani Zilla Parishad Hall in Gurugram.
The then-Station House Officer (SHO) of the Sohna Sadar police station and the Deputy District Attorney appointed in the Gurugram Commissioner of Police office were both disciplined by the Chief Minister for treating the case as a civil matter.
Taking vital cognizance of bribing in exchange for a Group-D job in the center, the Chief Minister said, “We have established such a system in the state, in which no person can get a job by paying money. Our government is working towards giving corruption free governance to the people.”

In this case, the accused person has a history of fraud in the past so the police will take action against him. A resident of Sohna filed this complaint, claiming to have given the accused individual 3.5 lakh.
The former SHO at Sohna Police Station had displayed carelessness in handling the case and had stated it to be a matter of mutual money transaction, noting that there is no proof of money transaction between the complainant and the accused.
It was initially viewed as a civil matter between the two parties by the Deputy District Attorney appointed by the Police Commissioner in Gurugram.
Sub-inspector Satinder was found to have displayed egregious negligence and carelessness in handling Anil Kumar’s complaint, a Sohna resident, according to a later official statement from the Gurugram police.
So, he has been put under suspension with immediate effect and sent to police lines, Gurugram, and a First Information Report(FIR) has been lodged against three accused, engaged in the crime of defrauding in the name of granting job in the PM Office at Sohna Sadar police station.
According to authorities, the sub-inspector is now employed as a second SHO at the sector 40 police station.
The chief minister announced that the Haryana Urban Development Authority staff had cleared the temporary encroachments by street vendors in front of stores in Sector-23 market.
