People in the village of Tiwargaon in Uttarakhand’s Tehri district say a massive fire broke out in the jungles above them, destroying a lot of forest wealth worth a lot of money.
People in the village say the fire started on Sunday afternoon and quickly spread to the whole forest.
He said that people who do bad things seem to have started a fire in the forest.

The villagers told the authorities while they tried to put out the fire on their own.
At some point later, Ashish Dimri and forest rangers were there. It took them a long time to get the fire under control, but they were there by 9 pm.
He said that some animals and birds died in the fire. Ten hectares of forest land were burned down.
Dimri has also asked the villagers to call the forest department right away if there is a forest fire.
