Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has already announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased. 

Seriously injured will receive one lakh rupees. Slightly damaged will be compensated at the rate of 25 thousand rupees.

The Railways Minister tweeted that he had given details of the accident to the prime minister. The Railway Minister himself will arrive at the accident site tomorrow morning.

He also said that he was overseeing the rescue operation. He said that a total of twelve Beacon Express compartments had been derailed.

Rail 8 has conducted a high-level investigation to find out the real cause of the accident. 

The chairman of the Railway Board and DG Safety 7 left for the accident site. The general manager of North East Frontier Railways also went for the scene. 

Initially, railway officials estimated that the accident was due to a fault in the railway.
